The Nomadic Local is a reactive, participatory Practice based around the design of holistic programmes of modes of engagement in response to which it is constantly evolving. Most simply, it can be understood through this checklist of engagement:

1: Be honest with your intent.

2: Establish a public and know your reactors.

3: Take on agency to expand programmes, explore new areas and generate projects.

4: Negotiate a holistic programme for your Reactors. 

5: Be an expert and an amateur to facilitate exchange. 

6: Be reactive and evolve your practice. 

The Nomadic Local isn’t a manifesto, it’s not an open-source, flat-pack practice, and it definitely isn’t a model for generating idealised solutions to assumed issues. It is rather, a set of Loci for the development of my work. My practice has been defined through projects, some have actively and directly developed the model, where others document, or respond to it through text or physical objects.
